Erased a $1.5 billion structural deficit

When Michigan hired Governor Snyder to solve problems, he inherited a $1.5 billion deficit. But in his first year in office, he made the tough choices to erase the deficit and start paying down long-term debts. The Governor has a long-term payment plan in place to pay down all of Michigan’s debts by 2038.
