Signed teacher tenure reform, making it easier to keep effective teachers

To better prepare Michigan’s children for future success, we need highly-effective schools with highly-effective teachers. That’s why Governor Snyder signed teacher tenure reform, ending the “Last In, First Out” practice through which school districts make staffing decisions based solely on seniority, in favor of a new system that requires administrators to consider classroom effectiveness.
